Job summary

Affinity Trust is seeking a PBS Practitioner in York to support children and young people with learning disabilities and autism. The role involves travel across the area, using Positive Behaviour Support to help individuals achieve better outcomes and independence.

You will develop alongside professional supervision, with ongoing training and funded SBC-related development, while ensuring inclusive, person-centred approaches in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel across the area.
• Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and autism.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with learning disabilities and autism to transform their lives using Positive Behaviour Support.
• Understand each young person's lived experience and work with families, carers and professionals to apply appropriate techniques.
• Help young people stay in their current placements, access communities and build lifelong independence.
• Deliver interventions based on inclusion, choice and participation to unlock paths to independence.
