Job summary

Ambitious about Autism is looking for a passionate Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of autistic young people we work with. In this role you will undertake functional and risk assessments, develop and implement individual PBS plans, coach staff to embed PBS practices, and collaborate with parents and carers to promote understanding and functional alternatives.

Travel will be between Spring School and The Rise School.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting young people with complex behavioural needs.
• Strong assessment, planning, and delivering impactful PBS interventions.
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication and person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Undertake functional and risk assessments, developing and implementing individual PBS plans.
• Coach and support staff to embed PBS practices and build skills and confidence.
• Collaborate with parents and carers to promote understanding of behaviours that challenge and teach functional alternatives.
• Contribute to service development and ensure best practice in PBS approaches.
