Job summary

KCR in Hexham is seeking a part-time Payroller (15 hours) for a 6-month contract. You will handle monthly payroll processing on Sage, manage starters and leavers, and adjust payments for hours and rate changes, with pension data handling and reconciliations.

The role offers hybrid, flexible working arrangements and requires payroll experience in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Strong payroll experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Sage Payroll or equivalent payroll software.
• Knowledge of monthly payroll processing and statutory payments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly payroll and process it in Sage Payroll.
• Set up new starters and leavers.
• Calc hours for seasonal staff using timesheets and rota.
• Amend monthly salaried payments for rate/hour changes.
• Process statutory payments and pension data.
• Input payroll data into finance system and reconcile.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a part-time Payroller (15 hours) to work on a 6 month basis for this great company in Hexham. Your duties will be as follows:

• Preparation of monthly payroll and processing it on Sage Payroll


• Setting up new starters and leavers


• Calculation of hours to pay seasonal staff using timesheets and a rota


• Amendments to monthly salaried payments for changes to rates/ hours worked, as required


• Calculating and processing statutory payments


• Collection and provision of information for the pension provider


• Extracting data from the payroll system to input into the finance system and carrying out reconciliations


• Preparing and processing payroll related invoices, including pension payments, union subscriptions etc


• Dealing with ad-hoc payroll queries

You will have strong payroll experience and will have worked in a similar role previously.
