Job summary

Arup is seeking a Payroll Manager for the Americas (UK Based, 1 Year FTC). You will lead payroll across the US and Canada and drive the global payroll transformation with CloudPay, coordinating with regional teams and CloudPay to define future-state processes and ensure timely delivery.

You will partner with stakeholders, manage risks, and deliver compliant payroll services while developing the Americas payroll team and standardising payroll operations globally.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing US and Canadian payroll operations.
• Transformation delivery, process standardisation or outsourcing experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HR/payroll integrations.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional workshops.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading payroll teams.
• Advanced Excel and data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll transformation across the Americas, migrating to a global managed service.
• Define future processes, operating models and requirements with stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, manage risks, dependencies and project timelines.
• Act as liaison between regional payroll teams, CloudPay and global project team.
• Oversee US and Canadian payroll delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership and coaching to the Americas payroll team.
• Produce management reporting and support audits.
