Job summary

Arup is seeking a Payroll Manager – Americas (UK Based / 1 Year FTC) to lead payroll operations across the US and Canada and drive the global payroll transformation with CloudPay. You will define future processes, manage workshops, and ensure successful delivery while collaborating with CloudPay and Arup teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing complex US and Canadian payroll operations.
• Proven payroll transformation experience, including process standardisation and vendor consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, payroll tax regulations and HR/payroll integrations.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and leading cross-functional workshops.
• Demonstrated project delivery skills with risk/issue/dependency management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience leading and developing payroll teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and a data-driven approach to problem solving.
• Knowledge of Dayforce and Oracle EBS/Fusion would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll transformation activities across the Americas, supporting migration to a global managed payroll service.
• Partner with stakeholders to define future processes, operating models and business requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, manage risks and dependencies, and drive project delivery against timelines.
• Act as primary liaison between regional payroll teams, CloudPay and the global project team.
• Support payroll integration activities with Arup's global Cloud HCM implementation and coach the Americas payroll team.
• Oversee accurate delivery of US and Canadian payrolls, ensuring compliance with payroll, tax and statutory requirements.
• Produce management reporting, support audits and drive continuous process improvement.
