Job summary

Solus, owned by Aviva, is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead the payroll and expenses processes and to develop a small payroll team in Milton Keynes. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery and compliance across HMRC and pension reporting, working with Finance, HR and the wider business to drive process improvements.

Reporting to the Pay and Rewards Manager, you will mentor Payroll Administrators and support audits and annual submissions while building strong internal and external

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of payroll principles, legislation and compliance requirements.
• Previous payroll experience with reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience leading, developing or mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of accurate and timely payroll and expenses processing.
• Coach, mentor and develop Payroll Administrators.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support payroll audits, reporting and annual submissions including gender pay reporting.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service.
• Analyse payroll data and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
• Maintain payroll documentation, procedures and governance standards.
