Job summary

Enterprise Mobility in Egham, Surrey, is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join our Payroll department at the European Head Office. You will lead a team processing payroll for around 7,500 employees across 13 payrolls on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

You will oversee onboarding of new payrolls for future acquisitions, handle HMRC queries, reconcile ledgers, and support the Payroll Manager on ad-hoc projects. Hybrid work: three days in office, two from home.

Qualifications

• CIPP qualified or payroll-experienced.
• Excel proficiency to an intermediate level.
• Attention to detail with accuracy and consistency.
• Strong supervisory skills to support the payroll team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to work with numbers, not necessarily from an accounting background.

Responsibilities

• Supervise payroll team from start to finish.
• Balance team workload while managing own tasks.
• Reconcile payroll accounting ledgers.
• On-board new payrolls for acquisitions.
• Handle adhoc payroll queries from employees and HMRC.
• Oversee payroll and related administrative tasks.
• Check payroll entries for posting to the general ledger.
• Analyze monthly payroll information.
• Verify monthly payroll schedules and reconciliations.
• Assist Payroll Manager on ad-hoc projects.
• Conduct employee appraisals and motivate the team.
• Analyze HMRC legislation implications for Enterprise.
• Review team output for accuracy.
• Stay updated on RTI and Auto-Enrolment changes.
• Develop a training plan for Payroll staff.
