Job summary

Portfolio Group is hiring a Payroll Senior for a permanent role in their Harlow office. The position is 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home, with responsibility for a portfolio of clients and supporting junior staff.

You will deliver high-quality payroll services, oversee year-end processing, and contribute to ongoing payroll system improvements, while acting as the main point of contact for client inquiries.

Qualifications

• Experience processing multiple clients' payrolls within a bureau or accountancy environment is essential.
• Experience using IRIS Payroll Professional or STAR is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process own portfolio of clients from start to finish.
• Proactively manage client expectations.
• Oversee year end processing & other statutory reporting.
• Implement and maintain robust internal quality control procedures for payroll processes.
• Act as a primary point of contact for queries.
• Assist with the training and onboarding of new team members.
• Contribute to the development and optimisation of payroll systems and workflows.
