Job summary

CVS Group is seeking a Payroll Team Leader to manage the UK payroll function across the Diss/Cambridge/Manchester/Bristol locations, ensuring accurate monthly payroll processing, compliance and excellent service.

The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, leading the Payroll Administration team and coordinating with HR and Finance to deliver high-quality payroll outputs and respond to stakeholder queries.

Qualifications

• High-volume UK payroll experience required.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of HMRC legislation and RTI.
• Familiarity with Pensions and GDPR.
• Attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to query resolution.
• Good time management and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UK payroll team, coaching and developing staff.
• Oversee end-to-end UK payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of UK payroll legislation, compliance and SLAs; report to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and other stakeholders; act as main point of contact for audits.
• Lead payroll-related projects including system upgrades and mergers/acquisitions.
