DFDS in the United Kingdom is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll for all employees, Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with legislation while handling a fast-paced payroll team and responding to employee queries.

The role requires at least two years’ payroll experience, knowledge of statutory payments and tax codes, and proficiency with payroll systems and Time and Attendance software.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum two years’ payroll experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent payroll certification desirable.
• Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory payments, deductions and compliance.

Aufgaben

• Process end-to-end payrolls, including employee changes, amendments and variations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payroll deadlines.
• Administer statutory payments and deductions, including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP, and process tax code changes and starter/leaver documentation.
• Use Time and Attendance systems to collect, review and verify employee working hours, overtime and absence data.
• Respond to employee payroll queries, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports for internal departments and external bodies, maintain confidential payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
