Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• UK PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, and workplace pension scheme administration.
• Advanced Excel for data reconciliation and variance analysis (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors.
• Strong English communication across departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Payroll Operations: support accurate preparation, processing, and validation of multi-site payrolls across the UK and Spain.
• Calculations & Statutory Compliance: perform PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, and pension contribution calculations per statutory requirements.
• Reconciliations & Variance Analysis: prepare payroll reconciliations, conduct variance checks, investigate discrepancies.
• Provider & Stakeholder Liaison: collaborate with outsourced payroll providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Employee Support & Query Resolution: act as a point of contact for staff on tax, deductions, and pay inquiries.
• Process Governance & Reporting: maintain SOPs, assist with payroll reporting, and support process improvements.
