Job summary

Reed is seeking a Payroll Professional to take full ownership of the payroll cycle, from onboarding to payment, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pension and NI rules, RTI submissions, and payroll reconciliations. You will work closely with HR to keep employee data up to date and liaise with HMRC and pension providers, producing payroll reports and supporting finance projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Payroll Specialist/Officer roles.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions, NI and statutory payments.
• Experience with RTI submissions and payroll reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Manage full payroll cycle from start to finish.
• Process statutory payments, pensions, RTI submissions and tax code changes.
• Prepare payroll journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee data.
• Act as main contact for payroll, pay, deduction and pension queries.
• Liaise with HMRC and pension providers; produce payroll reports.
