About Our Client

Michael Page are working with an accountancy practice in their search for a new Payroll Specialist. The firm are looking for someone with previous bureau experience to be responsible for managing their own portfolio of clients.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing the payroll either weekly or monthly.
  • Communicating with the client, via emails and telephone on any payroll issues they have.
  • Responsible for the payroll inputting.
  • Processing and filing of the RTI submissions
  • Processing any new employees, leavers and P45s.
  • Filing the EPS submissions and producing the P60s at year-end.
  • Filing monthly CIS returns and producing certificates for sub-contractors
  • Claiming CIS refunds at the end of the tax year
  • Dealing with the pensions and submitting relevant reports to the relevant pension scheme.

The Successful Applicant

The candidate will have:

  • Previous Payroll experience within a bureau setting
  • Existing knowledge of Sage Payroll
  • High attention to detail and levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively towards deadlines
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
