Job description

Locum Health is a fast-growing healthcare recruitment agency specialising in providing high-quality staffing solutions across the UK. We focus on locum and permanent placements in general practice, dental practices, care homes, and nurseries. As part of our ongoing expansion, we’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our fully remote team.

Role Overview:

As a Recruitment Consultant at Locum Health, you’ll be responsible for running your own desk—sourcing healthcare professionals, developing client relationships, and matching talent to vacancies across our key sectors. You must be self-driven, results-oriented, and hungry to succeed in a competitive but rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and grow your own recruitment desk

Source, screen, and place candidates into temporary and permanent healthcare roles

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates

Negotiate pay rates, terms of business, and placements

Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPIs and performance targets

Keep CRM and records up to date and accurate

Deliver excellent service aligned with Locum Health’s values

Requirements:

At least 1 year of recruitment experience (healthcare sector preferred)

Proven ability to manage a desk independently

Excellent telephone manner; confident, articulate, and professional

Strong English communication skills—both verbal and written

Self-motivated and able to take initiative without micromanagement

Target-driven with a strong desire for financial growth and career advancement

Experience in GP, dental, nursery, or care home recruitment is a significant advantage
