With multiple offices across Central and Southern England and ambitious expansion plans, we are creating a new opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our Northampton team. This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options.

The Role

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing payroll services to a diverse client portfolio
  • Processing payrolls on various schedules
  • Managing starters and leavers, statutory payments, RTI submissions, pension deductions, etc.
  • Setting up and ceasing PAYE schemes with HMRC
  • Acting as primary contact with HMRC for PAYE matters
  • Calculating auto-enrolment pension deductions and ensuring compliance
  • Uploading pension contributions and starters to portals
  • Submitting BACS files and HMRC RTI information
  • Preparing P45s, P60s, starter declarations, and other forms
  • Liaising with clients to ensure payroll data accuracy and support
  • Communicating with clients, staff, directors, and HMRC
  • Supporting clients with payroll system operations
  • Assisting team members as needed
