Job summary

DFS Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll, auto-enrolment, pensions, expenses and related compliance. You will partner with Finance, People and HR BPs to provide timely payroll services across weekly and monthly cycles, while driving standardisation and continuous improvement.

The role requires UK payroll experience, regulatory knowledge and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years end-to-end payroll and pensions processing experience.
• Experience supporting new technologies or systems changes.
• Strong understanding of UK payroll and pensions regulations.
• Knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and payroll legislation.
• Experience testing new functionality and training team members.
• Cross-functional stakeholder management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to Payroll Team Leadership for high-quality payroll and pensions services.
• Adhere to SLAs and KPIs, aligning with wider business objectives.
• Engage in continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving.
• Deliver accurate payroll, pensions, and expense reporting with compliant controls.
• Build relationships with Finance, People, and external providers to manage risk.
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize processes.
