Qualifications

• Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll.
• Experience administering workplace pensions, including NEST.
• Confident understanding of HMRC payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and clear payroll reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end monthly payroll process across multiple group companies, ensuring accurate, timely payment.
• Administer workplace pensions, including employee enrolments, contributions, and NEST auto-enrolment compliance.
• Ensure HMRC payroll compliance across PAYE, National Insurance, SSP, SMP, and pension requirements.
• Maintain and reconcile payroll records, deductions, benefits, pensions, and payroll control accounts.
• Produce payroll reports, analysis and MI for senior leadership and finance teams.
• Be the primary contact for payroll queries from employees, managers, pension providers and external bodies.
• Manage FPS, EPS, P60s and P11Ds submissions and other reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end activities with payroll journals and reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy.
