Job summary

Morgan McKinley (South West) is recruiting a Payroll & Pensions Officer to join the finance team. The role supports payroll for about 750 employees across seven monthly cycles, with a focus on accuracy and timely payments, plus pensions administration.

You’ll contribute to payroll projects and process improvements, collaborating with the team to ensure compliance and high-quality payroll service as the organisation grows.

Qualifications

• Solid payroll experience across multiple payrolls and environments.
• Experience administering workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
• Ability to ensure HMRC compliance and data protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process seven monthly payrolls for approx. 750 employees.
• Check and manage timesheets, absence information and inputs.
• Support accurate payroll calculations and payments.
• Carry out payroll checks, variance analysis and audits.
• Administer workplace pension schemes, including auto-enrolment.
• Manage pension submissions and maintain records.
• Support payroll-related budgeting and reporting.
• Handle payroll queries and liaise with stakeholders.
• Ensure GDPR compliance in payroll processes.
