Job summary

Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Payroll & Pensions Officer to join the finance team. The role covers payroll for about 750 employees across seven monthly cycles in a growing organisation delivering care, education and support services across the UK.

You will ensure accurate payroll processing, administer workplace pensions and manage pension submissions, while handling payroll queries and contributing to GDPR-compliant data handling. Expect varied projects and internal progression.

Qualifications

• Solid payroll experience with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and manage complex payroll/pensions.
• Develop knowledge across both payroll and pensions and stay compliant.
• Experience handling GDPR/data protection in payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Process seven monthly payrolls for about 750 employees.
• Check timesheets, absence data and payroll inputs.
• Support accurate payroll calculations and payments.
• Carry out payroll checks, variance analysis and audits.
• Administer workplace pension schemes and auto-enrolment.
• Handle pension submissions and maintain records.
• Respond to employee payroll and pension queries.
• Support payroll budgeting and reporting.
