Job summary

W Talent Finance is assisting a well-established accountancy firm in recruiting a Payroll Officer for their Rotherham office. The role involves processing payrolls for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, deadlines, and compliance with current legislation.

You will interact with clients and HMRC, resolving queries and contributing to high-quality payroll delivery. The successful candidate will have solid UK payroll knowledge, strong numerical skills, and experience with payroll

Qualifications

• Experience handling payroll for multiple clients within an accountancy or professional services setting.
• Strong understanding of UK PAYE, NI and statutory requirements.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and ability to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process multiple client payrolls accurately and within deadlines.
• Manage payroll data from input to finalisation and submission.
• Calculate statutory payments, deductions and payroll amendments.
• Prepare payslips and payroll documents for clients.
• Submit RTI returns to HMRC on time and respond to payroll queries.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure compliance with data protection.
