Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is partnering with a respected chartered accountancy firm to deliver end-to-end payroll services. You will join a collaborative payroll team, handling client payroll processing, onboarding, and responsive support to payroll queries.

You will ensure accurate, compliant BAU payrolls while maintaining high service standards across a diverse client base and providing a smooth experience through onboarding and ongoing client relationships.

• Experience within bureau payroll or a multi‑client environment.
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation.
• Confident communicator with a client‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Client payroll processing - Manage end‑to‑end payroll cycles for a varied portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Client onboarding - Support new clients joining the bureau, gathering data, setting up payrolls, and ensuring a smooth transition.
• Client queries - Act as a trusted point of contact, resolving payroll‑related questions with professionalism and clarity.
• Team collaboration - Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge, support busy periods, and maintain consistent service standards.
• Compliance & reporting - Ensure all statutory submissions, audits, and documentation are completed accurately.
