Job summary

Agincare is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a payroll team of around eight colleagues in a fast-paced care environment. You will ensure end-to-end payroll operations are accurate, timely and compliant with UK legislation, including NMW and UKVI requirements, while partnering with HR, operational and finance teams.

The role emphasizes system ownership of IRISStaffology, driving payroll system integrity, and supporting payroll integrations with workforce management and finance

Qualifications

• Experienced Payroll Manager or senior payroll professional responsible for end-to-end payroll operations.
• Qualified in Payroll, Accounting or related discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Experience in leading, managing and developing teams.
• Knowledgeable in UK payroll legislation and regulations.
• Experience in large-scale payroll operations in a variable hours environment.
• Experience ensuring compliance with National Minimum Wage (NMW) and UKVI requirements.
• Confident and articulate communicator with ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Payroll team of approximately eight colleagues.
• Build effective partnerships with operational, HR, Recruitment and Finance teams.
• Implement controls and processes to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Take ownership of IRISStaffology and oversee payroll system integrity.
• Support the development of system integrations between payroll, workforce management and finance platforms.
• Manage relationships with HMRC, pension providers, regulatory bodies and external system providers.
• Produce and submit ONS reporting requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across payroll processes, systems and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for training, development and team growth.
