Job summary

Transaction Recruitment are supporting a market-leading business based in Lichfield, in their search for an experienced Payroll Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is a standalone role with full ownership of payroll for c.800 employees and a hybrid working pattern.

You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, statutory deductions, year-end reporting, pensions auto-enrolment and answering payroll queries, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in a supportive

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience preferred
• Strong understanding of payroll processes
• Knowledge of statutory deductions and pension auto-enrolment

Responsibilities

• Processing the end-to-end payroll for c.800 employees, accurately and on time
• Managing starters, leavers and contractual changes, including variations to pay
• Calculating and processing overtime, statutory pay, bonuses and other additions and deductions
• Ensuring PAYE, National Insurance and other statutory deductions are applied correctly
• Handling HMRC submissions and year-end reporting
• Administering pensions auto-enrolment and benefit deductions
• Carrying out payroll reconciliations and checks, and producing reports for Finance
• Responding to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally
• Keeping up to date with legislative changes and maintaining accurate payroll records
