Transaction Recruitment are supporting a market-leading business based in Lichfield who are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of the payroll for c.800 employees. This is a permanent, standalone role with hybrid working.

You will manage end-to-end payroll, handle starters and leavers, deductions and year-end reporting, while staying compliant with HMRC requirements and auto-enrolment pensions.

• Process end-to-end payroll for c.800 employees on time
• Manage starters, leavers and contractual changes
• Calculate and process overtime, statutory pay, bonuses and other additions and deductions
• Ensure PAYE, National Insurance and other statutory deductions are applied correctly
• Handling HMRC submissions and year-end reporting
• Administer pensions auto-enrolment and benefit deductions
• Carrying out payroll reconciliations and checks, and producing reports for Finance
• Responding to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally
• Keeping up to date with legislative changes and maintaining accurate payroll records

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing starters, leavers and contractual changes, including variations to pay
• Calculating and processing overtime, statutory pay, bonuses and other additions and deductions
• Ensuring PAYE, National Insurance and other statutory deductions are applied correctly
• Handling HMRC submissions and year-end reporting
• Administering pensions auto-enrolment and benefit deductions
• Carrying out payroll reconciliations and checks, and producing reports for Finance
• Responding to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally
• Keeping up to date with legislative changes and maintaining accurate payroll records
