Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a Payroll Manager to own end-to-end UK payroll through a bureau provider. You will handle onboarding, employee records, and day-to-day HR queries in a hybrid working setup.

The role requires managing a payroll team, strong benefits/pensions knowledge, and solid Excel skills. Familiarity with CIPHR is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and compliance across the payroll cycle.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Preferred experience with the Ciphr payroll system
• Expert in end-to-end payroll

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
• Manage payroll changes including new starters, leavers, and contract amendments.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation, pensions, and statutory payments.
• Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance for payment approvals.
• Maintain employee records in the CIPHR Payroll system and ensure data accuracy.

You'll also get hands-on exposure to a variety of duties - from onboarding and employee record management to supporting day-to-day HR queries.
