Job summary

Portfolio Group is seeking a Payroll Manager to own end-to-end UK payroll processing through a bureau and to gain hands-on exposure to onboarding, employee records, and day-to-day HR queries.

You’ll manage changes for starters and leavers, ensure HMRC compliance, pensions, and statutory payments, reconcile reports with Finance, and maintain CIPHR payroll data with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll teams and end-to-end UK payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC compliance.
• Proven ability to manage employee records and HR queries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for payroll reporting.
• Familiarity with CIPHR payroll system is preferred.

As a Payroll Manager, you’ll take ownership of processing the end-to-end payroll through a bureau provider. You’ll also get hands-on exposure to a variety of duties - from onboarding and employee record management to supporting day-to-day HR queries.
