Job summary

Macildowie Recruitment and Retention is assisting a client in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire, to recruit an experienced Payroll Clerk / Payroll Manager to own the weekly payroll for around 200 permanent staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role covers time and attendance processing, agency timesheets, and payroll adjustments, with Sage Payroll experience and strong Excel skills desirable. The position is office-based with options for four days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience managing payroll in a manufacturing/fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Sage Payroll and Excel is required.
• Accurate, resilient and able to work independently with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the weekly payroll process from time and attendance to payment.
• Reconcile time and attendance data with shift information and investigate discrepancies.
• Liaise with shift managers to resolve missing/incorrect information.
• Prepare and submit weekly agency timesheets and upload to Sage Payroll.
• Process overtime, bonuses, holidays and sickness payments.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and generate ad hoc reports for finance.
