Astute Recruitment is recruiting a Payroll Clerk in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire, offering up to £35,000 pro rata for a 4-day week. The role will manage end-to-end payroll for 300+ employees with a strong eye for detail.

You will process payroll from start to finish, check time and attendance data, handle SSP, maternity and paternity, holiday records and payroll queries, using Sage Payroll to ensure accuracy and on-time processing.

• 3+ years' solid payroll experience, with end-to-end payroll knowledge.
• Strong ability to manage payroll from start to finish with attention to detail.
• Experience with UK payroll processes and compliance.

Astute Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join a well-established business based in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire.

This is a hands-on payroll role and looking for someone who is confident managing end-to-end payroll and can take ownership of the process.

The role:

You’ll be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish, including:

• Payroll for around 300+ employees
• Checking time and attendance data and agency timesheets
• Identifying and correcting discrepancies, particularly where employees have worked unusual shifts
• Processing SSP, maternity and paternity
• Holiday calculations and records
• Attachments of earnings
• Dealing with payroll queries
• Ensuring payroll is accurate and processed on time

About you:

You’ll need at least 3 years’ solid payroll experience, with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge.

We’re looking for someone who is confident managing payroll from start to finish and can work independently, with a real eye for detail. You’ll need to be comfortable checking figures, spotting discrepancies and investigating anything that doesn’t look right.

• Holiday calculations and records
• Attachments of earnings
• Payroll queries
• Time and attendance systems and timesheets
• Checking and correcting payroll discrepancies

Sage Payroll experience is essential, and you’ll need to be confident taking ownership of the payroll process and ensuring everything is accurate and completed on time.
