Job summary

HB People Recruitment & HR Specialists is seeking an experienced Payroll Co-ordinator to manage a portfolio of client payrolls in a hands-on, in-person hybrid role in Liverpool.

You'll process payrolls, register PAYE schemes with HMRC, handle auto-enrolment, and respond to payroll queries while keeping up to date with UK payroll legislation and internal process improvements. The role is full-time with 3x in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for clients.
• Experience with payroll software and UK payroll legislation.

Responsibilities

• Process client payrolls accurately and on time.
• Add new employees and update tax codes.
• Prepare payroll reports and gather information.
• Arrange payments to employees, HMRC and pension providers.
• Ensure deadlines and legal requirements are met.
• Maintain pension information and respond to pension inquiries.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Contact clients and HMRC to resolve payroll queries.
• Support management with general duties.
