Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited in Liverpool is seeking an experienced payroll professional to operate end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of 100 clients, delivering about 1,500 payslips. This hands-on, independent role reports to the Payroll Manager and offers flexible hybrid working with one day per week in the city centre office.

You will work autonomously, ensuring accurate processing, data entry, statutory calculations, and compliance, while handling client queries.

Qualifications

• Proven background in independent, end-to-end payroll processing.
• Experience in a multi-client bureau environment is desirable.
• Self-starter with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 100 clients (~1,500 payslips).
• Work autonomously and report to the Payroll Manager.
• Complete data entry, statutory calculations, and compliance checks.
• Resolve payroll-related queries from clients and internal teams.
