Job summary

Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a friendly accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Payroll Bureau Assistant. You will support a busy payroll team across multiple clients, handling varied payrolls and deadlines, and developing your career in a busy bureau environment.

You should be numerically strong with great attention to detail, comfortable with Excel and Sage or similar payroll software, and possess excellent client service skills.

Qualifications

• Numerically strong with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple payroll deadlines.
• Confident using Excel and payroll software.
• Experienced with systems such as Sage or Superpay.
• Professional with strong client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Support RTI submissions and payroll reporting.
• Produce payslips, reports and payroll summaries.
• Liaise with HMRC, pension providers and clients.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and handle queries.
