We are looking for our Payroll & Benefits Manager to start with us preferably within the next couple of weeks.
Where are we located?
Our Head Office is on Borough High Street, right next to Borough station. This role is an office-based role, with some flexibility for occasional work from home days.

Your day at Aqua:
- Lead the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees across multiple restaurant locations
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, pensions, holidays, and other perks, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
- Manage payroll compliance with tax laws, deductions, and employee classifications
- Develop and implement payroll procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure smooth coordination
- Monitor and report payroll data, including wages, deductions, bonuses, and benefits contributions
- Work with FOURTH daily to ensure system accuracy and resolve issues
- Administer and oversee benefits enrolment, assisting employees with inquiries
- Maintain and update payroll systems, liaising with IT as needed
- Provide strategic leadership for employee benefit programs, including open enrolment and wellness initiatives
- Review payroll reports for accuracy and address errors promptly
- Lead internal audits of payroll and benefits programs
- Serve as the main contact for payroll and benefits inquiries
- Prepare reports for senior management on payroll and benefits metrics
- Assist with requesting tronc for offer letters, working with the external Tronc Master
- Support onboarding of new starters into the payroll system, e.g., Fourth
- Utilize analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and inform decisions
What we are looking for:
- Strong knowledge of FOURTH payroll system
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex issues clearly
- High attention to detail and compliance
- Problem-solving skills for payroll discrepancies and benefits issues
- Proactive, strategic approach to payroll and benefits management
- High integrity and confidentiality handling sensitive data
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
