Iconic Resourcing Ltd. is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join a busy HR and Payroll team in East Dunbartonshire. This permanent, full-time role supports the delivery of accurate, timely payroll and ensures records comply with legislation and policies.

You will handle monthly payroll processing, maintain records, assist with month-end activities, and respond to payroll queries while upholding confidentiality and data integrity. A proactive team player with strong IT skills is ideal.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll, HR, finance or a similar administrative environment.
  • Proficient with IT systems, especially Excel.
  • Numerate with good attention to detail.
  • Able to work to deadlines in a busy team.

  • Ensure payroll processes comply with PAYE, NI, GDPR and related requirements.

Payroll Assistant

East Dunbartonshire | Permanent | Full-time

We are looking for an organised and detail-focusedPayroll Assistantto join a busy HR and Payroll team.

This role will support the delivery of an accurate, timely and customer-focused payroll service, ensuring employees are paid correctly and that payroll records and processes comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist with the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, salaries, benefits and statutory payments.
  • Maintain accurate employee records relating to pay, absence, pensions and statutory leave.
  • Support payroll reporting and month-end/payroll processing activities.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees, managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external organisations regarding deductions, pensions, salary sacrifice and other payroll-related matters.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with PAYE, National Insurance, pension, GDPR and other relevant requirements.
  • Assist with reconciliations, reporting, audit requirements and internal controls.
  • Support the ongoing improvement and development of payroll processes and HR/Payroll systems.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative and customer-focused team environment.
About you

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Numerate and comfortable working with data and spreadsheets.
  • Experienced in payroll, HR, finance or a similar administrative environment.
  • Confident using IT systems, particularly Excel and payroll/HR systems.
  • Able to manage deadlines and work accurately in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • A clear and professional communicator with a strong customer-service focus.
  • A team player with a proactive approach to improving processes.

Knowledge ofPAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payroll requirementswould be advantageous, although training and development will be provided for the right candidate.
