Job summary

TPF Recruitment is representing a growing client in Eastleigh seeking a Payroll Administrator. The role covers processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a varied client portfolio and ensuring deadlines are met.

Responsibilities include data input, reconciliations, pensions administration and responding to payroll queries. Hybrid working and ongoing development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll administration, ideally in an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
  • Strong understanding of PAYE, National Insurance and workplace pensions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

As a Payroll Administrator, youwill support the delivery of accurate and efficient payroll services across avaried client portfolio. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you willassist with processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, responding toclient queries and ensuring payroll deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrollsfor a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Collate and input payroll information, ensuringdata is accurate and processed within the required deadlines.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and thepreparation of payroll reports.
  • Support the administration of pensionauto-enrolment and related submissions.
  • Respond to client, HMRC and internal payrollqueries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with the calculation of statutory payments,including SSP and statutory family leave.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensurerelevant documentation is kept up to date.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients and the setupof payroll systems.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider payroll team toensure a high standard of service.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in payroll administration,ideally within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment.
  • A good understanding of payroll processes,including PAYE, National Insurance and workplace pensions.
  • Familiarity with statutory payments, including SSPand statutory family leave, would be advantageous.
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent attention todetail.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability tomanage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills, with a professionaland client-focused approach.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office andExcel.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn anddevelop within a growing team.
  • Salary of £26,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending onexperience.
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
