Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our busy payroll team in Sherburn-In-Elmet (LS25). The role covers end-to-end weekly payroll for about 70–160 staff, handling payroll queries and ensuring timely, accurate payments, with Sage 50 Payroll experience a bonus.

You’ll set up new starters, maintain records, support HR admin and contracts, and take part in HR activities alongside payroll duties.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months payroll experience
• Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Good IT skills, including confidence using spreadsheets
• Someone organised, proactive and comfortable working to deadlines
• A great team player who can also work independently

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly payroll from start to finish for approximately 70-160 employees
• Managing payroll queries and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
• Processing holiday pay, pensions, statutory payments, expenses and deductions
• Setting up new starters and maintaining accurate employee records
• Supporting HR administration, staff inductions and employment contracts
• Using Sage 50 Payroll and Accounts
