Job summary

Handelsbanken UK is seeking a highly capable Business Analyst to join our payments modernisation team. You will elicit requirements, analyse processes, and translate needs into clear user stories within an Agile, multi-disciplinary environment.

You will work with product owners, 3rd party vendors, and IT teams to ensure robust governance, testing support, and compliant delivery of CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, Faster Payments, and ISO20022 initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experienced BA in payments projects within a banking environment.
• Knowledge of payments types and latest industry regulations/standards.
• Proficient with Agile ceremonies and product backlog management.
• Experience delivering requirements definition, user stories and design UX.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across technology, business and vendors.
• Adaptive, collaborative approach to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements with vendors, business and tech teams using workshops.
• Analyse, detail, prioritise and trace requirements to designs and tests.
• Manage stakeholders and ensure clear accountabilities across teams.
• Map current and future payments processes with happy paths and exceptions.
• Support testing teams with acceptance/regression activities.
• Support operational materials, runbooks, and colleague communications.
• Collaborate with Change Delivery teams to ensure proper artefacts and governance.
• Ensure risk, compliance, and governance are embedded in BA activities.
