Job summary

CRS in Northampton is seeking a Commercial Sales Support Specialist to provide high-quality sales, operational and relationship management support across a portfolio of corporate clients.

This role focuses on ensuring smooth sales processes and delivering excellent client service in a fast-paced payments environment. You will collaborate with Relationship Managers, internal stakeholders and coverage teams to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales support, sales enablement, client services or relationship management environment.
• Experience supporting corporate or commercial customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and confidence with customer and sales data.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration across teams.
• Knowledge or experience of payments acquiring/merchant acquiring.
• Experience in FinTech, payments, banking or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, operational and commercial support to sales and relationship management teams.
• Maintain accurate customer databases, sales records and management information.
• Prepare sales reports, presentations, proposals, contracts and other client-facing materials.
• Support the development of marketing and sales collateral, including product brochures and presentations.
• Manage customer enquiries and issues, ensuring they are tracked, escalated and resolved within appropriate timescales.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and relationship activity.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales activity.
• Analyse sales and customer data to identify trends, monitor performance and provide actionable insights.
• Conduct market research to identify potential leads, target markets and competitor activity.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve the client experience and sales processes.
