Job summary

ParentPay Group in Coventry seeks a hands-on Development Team Lead to guide a multi discipline Scrum Team delivering Payments products. You will line-manage, coach, and align with the Software Development Manager to ensure strong coding standards and agile processes.

You will spend time coding when needed, drive feature delivery, re-architect where appropriate, and report progress to stakeholders. A background in .NET and DevOps, plus Scrum Master experience, is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience managing a team in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Strong background in software development as either an engineer or QA at a senior level.
• Experience in building web applications and services using the Microsoft .Net platform.
• Experience in product discovery methods and EdTech industry knowledge (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Manage a Scrum team developing our Payments software products using agile methodologies.
• Growing the team skills and capabilities.
• Ensure high quality output from the developers and QA's.
• Help team achieve their delivery commitments by being hands-on when needed.
• Ensure the team follow the Software Development process and work with the Software Development Manager to refine and improve it.
• Run the Agile/Scrum process for the team.
• Stakeholder and progress reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the area of responsibility. Escalating risks, issues, and challenges when appropriate.
• Acquire a comprehensive domain knowledge of our products and business
