Job summary

ParentPay Group in Coventry, UK, is seeking a Software Development Team Leader to guide a Scrum team delivering Payments products. You will line manage, mentor, and collaborate with the Tech Lead to enforce quality and design standards.

You will drive agile practices, own delivery commitments, and contribute to architecture while hands-on when needed. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Agile leadership, strong communication, and a track record of delivering robust web applications on the .NET

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience managing a team in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• People management, delegation, 1:1s, goal setting.
• Scrum Master experience preferred.
• SDLC - Requirements gathering, software design, development and QA testing, CI/CD pipelines.
• Stakeholder reporting and risk management.
• Strong background in software development as a senior engineer or QA.
• Experience building web apps and services on the Microsoft .NET platform.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and DORA metrics.
• Experience in a product-led development environment and product discovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Scrum team developing our Payments software products using agile methodologies.
• Grow the team's skills and capabilities.
• Ensure high quality output from the developers and QAs.
• Help the team meet delivery commitments, hands-on when needed.
• Enforce the Software Development process and work with the Software Development Manager to improve it.
• Run the Agile/Scrum process for the team.
• Stakeholder and progress reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks; escalate when appropriate.
• Acquire comprehensive domain knowledge of our products and business.
