Job summary

Icon Solutions’ IPF team seeks an experienced Payments Business Analyst to collaborate with the IPF Product Owner, Architects, Engineers, Agile Delivery Leads, Project Managers, and clients to determine requirements, agree on designs, and lead agile delivery teams to deliver simple solutions to complex business challenges.

The IPF provides institutions faster, cost-effective access to payments through a flexible platform that integrates with clients’ core banking applications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and elaborating requirements for internal and external delivery projects.
• Ability to write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with multiple payment schemes (e.g., SCT, FPS, FedNow).
• Strong understanding of ISO20022 messages and usage of fields.
• Experience in Kanban or Scrum with focus on delivering business value.
• Collaborates with UX/UI designers and engineers on user journeys and wireframes.
• Excellent communication across engineers, architects, clients at all levels.
• Proficient in UML diagrams and BPMN notation.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and elaborate requirements for delivery projects.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to agree designs.
• Document requirements as detailed user stories meeting ready definition.
• Lead kick-off sessions to align squads on goals.
• Maintain and prioritize the backlog to maximize business value.
• Sign off on all user stories.
• Ensure delivered functionality is documented and production-ready.
• Highlight risks and issues and propose mitigations.
• Raise ideas for new product functionality to the Product Owner.
