We have a fantastic opportunity for a Payment Analyst to join our busy and growing Department Team.

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking an analyst to join our payments team. The selected individual will play an important role in delivering and optimizing our payment processing operations. You will troubleshoot and resolve processing issues, work to streamline workflows, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments to support seamless transaction execution and provide insights to improve our payment systems. Your expertise in payment processing will be key to maintaining our high standards of service and operational excellence.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Allocation of incoming and outbound payments (Swift, Chaps & Sepa) with accuracy and adhering to our various SLAs across a range of banking providers
  • Act as a part of the team for all payment-related queries and escalate to banking partners where necessary to point of resolution.
  • Help to develop and implement best practices for payment processing to optimize operational efficiency
  • Liaise with financial institutions, payment service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction execution
  • Investigation and clearance of reconciliation breaks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payment processing issues promptly to minimize disruptions
  • Ensure adherence to legal/regulatory requirements, internal policies and guidelines
  • Support the identification and management of service affecting incidents

Skills Required:

  • Minimum 2 years payments experience
  • Experienced in operating in a high-volume high-value environment
  • Practical knowledge of SWIFT processing standards, SWIFT Alliance Gateway & financial institution platforms is a prerequisite
  • Understanding of regulatory framework and AML procedures
  • A "can do" attitude and a positive disposition to change
  • Proficient at establishing credibility quickly and building relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written)
  • Possess excellent analytical skills, with ability to think independently and draw conclusions
  • Learning mind-set and willingness to develop key skills and competencies
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining high accuracy, in a fast-paced environment
