About the team:

The Payments function is strategic, impacting conversion rates, costs, compliance, customer satisfaction, and retention.

The Payments Operations Analyst role is new within Finance. You will report to the Director of Payments and influence our payments operations through data insights and recommendations, covering both customer (pay-in) and supplier (pay-out) payments.

The impact you’ll have:

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and various stakeholders to analyze large payment data sets, identify trends, and find optimization opportunities. Your insights will support KPI improvements and strategic decisions, including fee analysis, forecasting, and assessing new initiatives.

Data Analysis:
  • Gather, clean, and analyze large, complex payment data from diverse sources.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Use advanced techniques like statistical modeling and machine learning.
Insight Generation:
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
  • Develop financial models to inform decisions.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve processes, reduce costs, and boost revenue.
  • Identify automation, fraud prevention, and risk mitigation opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with large data sets, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience with virtual card payments and rebate structures.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistical techniques.
  • Experience with visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, Google Suite).
