As a Pay and Transactional Administrator, you will manage employee records within the national Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system from onboarding to exit. You will accurately enter contractual updates, changes, and terminations, ensuring all data meets strict payroll deadlines so our staff are paid correctly. Working closely with line managers and our external payroll provider, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, you will handle daily contract and pay queries with absolute confidentiality and in line with GDPR., In this role, you will maintain clear audit trails for contract changes and verify that updates have approved recruitment and job evaluation clearance. You proactively flag late forms to managers to prevent overpayments and support the wider People Services team with general administration. Communication is a key aspect of this role and you will confidently resolve queries from all levels of staff via phone and email, using your customer service skills to navigate difficult or sensitive situations professionally.
We will support you to build a thorough understanding of ESR processes, Agenda for Change terms and conditions, and NHS pay scales. You will collaborate closely with internal teams including eRostering, Workforce Information, Employee Relations, and Recruitment to ensure payroll issues are resolved swiftly.
