NHS Shared Business Services in Southampton (hybrid) is seeking a Payroll Team Leader with proven experience in leading payroll teams to deliver accurate, compliant services for NHS clients and employees.

Join NHS SBS as a Payroll Team Leader and play a key role in leading, coaching and developing a payroll team that delivers a high-quality service to clients and their employees.
As an experienced people leader, you'll be responsible for supporting and motivating colleagues, embedding consistent ways of working and ensuring the team has the skills, knowledge and confidence to provide an accurate, compliant and customer-focused payroll service. You'll work closely with the wider payroll management team to drive continuous improvement, support operational performance and maintain the high standards our clients expect. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while developing both people and processes in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Working closely with the wider payroll management team, you'll support day-to-day operations, deliver training, ensure compliance with required standards and contribute to a positive, customer-focused culture. You'll also have the opportunity to influence processes, improve ways of working and support the ongoing development of the team.
This role is a 9-month fixed-term contract based in Southampton with hybrid working arrangements.
