Job summary

BEAR Scotland in Perth is seeking a Pavement Manager to lead the pavement team in delivering Structural Maintenance schemes across the North West area. You will report to the Roads Manager/Planned Maintenance Manager and coordinate investigations, design, and delivery of schemes.

To succeed you should hold a relevant Civil Engineering degree, be professionally qualified or working towards IEng/CEng, and have strong knowledge of design standards and contract management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering; professional qualification progress (IEng/CEng) preferred.
• Knowledge of current design standards and practices.
• Experience with contract control and management systems.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Managing the pavement team to meet delivery deadlines.
• Coordinating delivery of technical reports/studies to Transport Scotland.
• Liaising with Transport Scotland at technical workshops.
• Prioritising team workload to ensure programme dates are met.
