BEAR Scotland is a leading road maintenance and management service provider in Scotland, maintaining and improving Scottish Trunk Roads including bridges and structures through some of the most scenic, but challenging, parts of the country.
The Northwest Trunk Road Unit spans some 1,422km of trunk road through some of the most scenic parts of the country. It covers a huge area of Scotland, from Thurso and Wick in the very north of the Highlands down to Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, from Uig on Skye to Perth and Stirling.
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Roads Manager to join our dedicated Planned Maintenance team on a full-time basis. In this key role, you’ll support the delivery of essential road maintenance across some of Scotland’s most iconic routes.
Reporting to the Planned Maintenance Manager, you’ll take charge of the day-to-day management of a skilled team, overseeing the delivery of both Structural Maintenance and Routine Maintenance programmes within your designated area. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a hands‑on role in maintaining and improving vital infrastructure — while developing your leadership skills in a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.
