Job summary

Wilson James is recruiting a Patrolling Officer in London. You will safeguard people, property and assets through surveillance and patrolling, controlling access, and responding to emergencies. The role requires a proactive security presence and strict adherence to access controls.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, performing site security patrols, loading bay duties, and monitoring contractor access. A strong focus on punctuality, reliability, and teamwork is essential.

Hours: 4 on, 4 off days & nights – 07.00am-19.00pm-19.00pm-07.00am

Pay: £15.01 per hour

The main responsibility of a Patrolling Officer is to play a vital role in safeguarding people, property, and assets. The responsibilities encompass a range of tasks, including surveillance and patrolling to prevent and detect security breaches, controlling access to facilities, and responding promptly to emergencies.

About The Role

As a Patrolling Officer you will be responsible for:

• Meeting and greeting of visitors and guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Site security patrols
• Loading bay duties
• Provide a highly visible proactive security presence on and around the sites with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• Control of access to dedicated parts of site utilising existing barriers and physical presence.
• Contractor control — booking in/out of contractors, issuing of vehicle passes, monitoring adherence to parking restrictions.
• Monitoring routine vehicle access using existing computer and paper-based recording methods e.g. deliveries, couriers, postal vehicles etc.
