Job summary

Royal Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Slot Administrator to support the Clinical and admin teams and our patients in the Preparation for Surgery service. You will liaise with clinicians, staff and patients, handle calls and queries, and help with clinic creation and changes.

The role requires independence and relationship-building with clinicians and patients. Working Monday to Friday with interview on 25th September 2026; this fixed term 12-month contract offers the chance to

Qualifications

• Ability to use your own initiative and work well under pressure, together with being a reliable and proven team member.
• Empathy and patience are essential when communicating with patients and staff.
• Strong communication and organisational skills to manage calls, queries and appointments.

Responsibilities

• Reception Cover
• Booking appointments from waiting lists
• Creating and changing all clinics
• Monitoring waiting times to review demands of clinic types
• Providing assistance and support to other administrative and clinical members of the department, including handling telephone communications and patient enquiries.
