Role Summary

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy and dynamic Ophthalmology Team as a Booking Clerk/Receptionist. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills along with outstanding customer service, and have experience of working with IT systems.

The Ophthalmology Booking Team is a very busy department where admin plays a crucialrole.The successful candidate will be responsible for handling patient enquiries, phone calls on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone who can work well under pressure, demonstrate a professional and friendly approach, and provide a high standard of service to patients and colleagues.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and confidence in using their own initiative within a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an excellent telephone manner and proven experience dealing with patients professionally and sensitively. Strong IT skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing departmental needs are essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by experienced team leaders to help you develop within the role and feel confident in your responsibilities.
