Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Registration Representative for an onsite, full-time day shift. The role focuses on accurate patient registration, data collection, and compliant documentation to support admissions and billing.

You will communicate clearly with patients and other departments, maintain a high QA standard, and contribute to a culture of safety. This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and does not require prior experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• No license required.
• No prior experience required.
• Certification is not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects demographic, insurance, physician, and consent information and records ABNs and directives accurately.
• Processes registration materials, scans insurance documents, prepares ID bands, and enters data for Medicare verification.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with patients and hospital staff to coordinate admissions and support Revenue Cycle workflows.
• Maintains a QA score of 95% or higher and ensures accurate data entry, including attending physician information.
• Contributes to equitable patient care and supports the Registration team.
• Supports safety culture through preparation, prevention and response actions.
• Hours per week align with the offer letter; longer hours may be required as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
